Let your elected representatives know that you support increased access to bicycling and outdoor recreation opportunities
The Expanding Public Lands Outdoor Recreation Experiences (EXPLORE) Act was recently introduced in the U.S. House of Representatives. If signed into law, this bipartisan outdoor recreation legislation, which complements the Senate’s America’s Outdoor Recreation Act (AORA), will significantly improve and expand access to outdoor recreation opportunities on our public lands and waters.
The EXPLORE Act will identify potential long distance bike trails, streamline the permitting process to benefit guides and outfitters for cycling trips, build adaptive trails for veterans and people with disabilities, and prioritize funding for local outdoor recreation projects in underserved communities.
You can help champion this important legislation by completing this form to let your elected representatives know that you support increased access to bicycling and outdoor recreation opportunities. In this form, the first letter will be a thank you to the co-sponsors of the EXPLORE Act and the second letter will go to your representatives, asking them to co-sponsor the bill. Please feel free to add any personal comments in the letter that explain why this bill will benefit you and your community.
