The Chicago City Council proposed an ordinance that will ban the sale of electric bicycles (e-bikes) in the city unless they meet specific and unreasonably narrow testing requirements. This will make many safe and tested e-bikes and their batteries unsellable and severely limit the availability of new e-bikes in Chicago. 

We are asking the city council to either vote NO on the ordinance or take it off the calendar for the Wednesday session so more time can be devoted to amending this proposed ordinance.
